NTT INDYCAR SERIES
GMR GRAND PRIX
Saturday, July 4, 2020

Round 2 of NTT INDYCAR SERIES competition is complete as the historic racing weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is in full swing with NASCAR taking the track Sunday.

The condensed GMR Grand Prix weekend saw just one practice session before qualifying Friday, followed by a brief warmup and 80-lap main event in Saturday’s Indiana heat. The race was run without fans in attendance due to percussions surrounding the ongoing global health crisis.

The Series now heads into back-to-back doubleheader race weekends at Road America and Iowa Speedway, respectively. Fans will return to INDYCAR with those events, though with limited access areas.

“Overall solid day, we didn’t quite have the pace of the guys that finished ahead of us (Dixon, Rahal, & Pagenaud). Finishing P4, kept the car clean, brought it home clean – super happy with that. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the pace to win but we did what we could and that was P4. Thank you to Gleaners for joining us this weekend and to everyone who supported us. It was a good weekend for points, and I hope we keep this momentum going forward.”
