“I think we had a pretty solid weekend, coming away with two top fives. Saturday we got a little lucky on some people’s misfortunes, but it was a good race. The car was very decent at the end of the stints and we were able to close up the gaps and have good pit stops. That’s how we made most of our passes.

“Sunday, we should’ve been closer up to the front, but we made a couple wrong calls, unfortunately that’s how it goes sometimes. I’m happy with fifth and a nice amount of points for us, and for Honda. Happy to be going into Iowa’s doubleheader weekend in second place.”

With little turn-around time, the team heads to Iowa Speedway’s 7/8-mile oval for two races under the lights, both with live broadcast on NBCSN.
