Even though Colton Herta only has two INDYCAR starts at St. Petersburg with a best finish of eighth (2019), he came away with back-to-back wins and led all laps in both races to kick off his 2017 Indy Lights campaign.
- After the 2020 season opener in St. Pete was moved to the season finale due to the pandemic, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES is back on the Streets of St. Petersburg for the 17th straight year.
- The 1.8-mile street course, boasting 14 turns, will follow in the footsteps of last weekend’s season opener at Barber Motorsports Park and will allow fans to enjoy the on-track action in-person.

Andretti Autosport has 59 starts on the Florida street course with two wins (2005, Dan Wheldon and 2013, James Hinchclife) along with three poles.COLTON HERTA

STARTS BEST START BEST FINISH 2 3 (2020) 8 (2019) CURRENT CHAMPIONSHIP STANDING 22 (8 PTS.) “It was obviously a less than ideal weekend to start off with at Barber, but I’m really looking forward to coming back stronger this weekend. I love St. Pete and I love being down here in Florida. It’s such a great track and it’s always such a great event. We’ve been fast there in the past and we’ve had great cars every time I’ve been there, so really looking forward to getting this one going. I just can’t wait to get down there with everyone from Gainbridge and Group1001 and hopefully turn this thing around from last weekend. We want to get on the podium and start getting those wins.”
