The inaugural Music City Grand Prix proved to be an eventful day for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES as the 27 IndyCars took over the streets of Nashville. The 80-lap event saw nine caution periods and two red flags. Pole-sitter Colton Herta was on the charge for the lead before making contact in Turn 9 with five laps to go. 

The Andretti Autosport squad returns home to Indianapolis and heads to the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Big Machine Spiked Coolers Grand Prix on Saturday, August 14.

“It was a really disappointing day in the end. The whole Gainbridge team did an amazing job all weekend. They put me in the best possible position to win, and unfortunately, I threw that away with five [laps] to go. We will keep moving and keep going forward. We have a good car for Indy GP, which is exciting for next week. This one is going to hurt for a little bit.”
