Unlucky Day for Herta at the #26 Gainbridge Crew at Iowa

THE TEAMAfter starting sixth for the Hy-Vee Homefront 250, the No. 26 crew of Colton Herta had an issue with the front left tire during the first pit stop on Lap 43. The delayed stop resulted in four lost laps and Herta took the checkered in P19.
THE RACE
The 250-lap race saw just one caution period. 
Iowa Speedway saw five lead changes throughout the race among four drivers.
The ambient temperature was 78 degrees. Skies were partly cloudy. The track temperature was 103 degrees, according to Firestone engineers.

“We did our best, but unfortunately today was not a great day for us. Thankfully, we have one more race to tackle tomorrow. The No. 26 Gainbridge Honda crew and I are going to regroup tonight and work toward a strong result for Race 2.”
