| After nearly three months delayed due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Indianapolis Motor Speedway came alive Sunday with the roar of 33 engines. For the first time in the track’s 109-year history, no spectators were in attendance for the 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Presented by Gainbridge. Andretti Autosport fielded six entries for today’s 500-mile race, the most of any team in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES paddock. For the first time, three generations of the Andretti family led the 33-car field to the green flag with Mario Andretti driving his son, Michael, in the Honda Fastest Seat in Sports followed by grandson and pole sitter, Marco. After a hard fought 200 laps, the Andretti Autosport stable took the checkered with five drivers inside the top 15 during a Honda-dominated Indy 500. |
